Doctoral Seminar in Operations Management Research
Participation Prerequisites
A clear understanding of which research question to address. The course aims at students who are in the early phase of their doctoral studies.
Course Content
Almost any doctoral student has difficulties with i) focusing on an appropriate research topic, ii) making sure that state-of-the-art methodology is utilized, and iii) getting started with writing an article aimed at a top academic journal. This course challenges students to complete their first submission within a period of four months. The instructor provides detailed feedback on drafts of their paper.
Intended Learning Outcomes and Competencies
During the course, students will learn how to complete research successfully and discover the benefits of i) working in teams, ii) receiving fast and honest feedback, and iii) making quick iterations of their output.
Student feedback is phenomenal. What is even more phenomenal is the future research productivity and quality of doctoral students who have taken this doctoral seminar.
