Conflicts within and between companies are daily bread in the economy. When negotiations no longer continue, the parties often seek their salvation in court proceedings and try to win over the other side with legal arguments. The problem is that courts have to decide on "wrong or right" from a legal point of view in such proceedings. The business, economic or personal interests behind most conflicts are usually not taken into account. Business mediation remedy this circumstance by offering a way to resolve conflicts quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. With the possibilities of business mediation, such conflicts can be analysed at an early stage by focusing on what the parties are actually concerned with and looking for solutions that all parties involved can live with and leave personal relationships undamaged. Thinking in terms of legal claims is initially left out but remains as an alternative in the event that no amicable solution can be reached. In mediation, the parties to the conflict are accompanied by a mediator as an independent and neutral third party in resolving the specific conflict in a confidential procedure and are supported in finding future-oriented solutions. Another goal of mediation is to conserve resources and to help the parties achieve planning security. Cultural differences can also be overcome in the context of mediation. Mediation is now established in the economy as an effective alternative to legal disputes. It emphasizes the personal responsibility of the parties instead of delegating the conflict to the judge.
