Participation Prerequisites

Basic knowledge in business administration. The more students are advanced in their academic studies the richer will be their learning.

Course Content

The lecture consists of three major sections: (1) Strategic Thinking (military, business, new approaches), (2) Strategic Management (management of competitive advantage, change management, strategy process), (3) Strategic Leadership (leaders, vision, horizons, perspectives, success). The objective of the lecture is to critically question complex strategic issues. In the course, in addition to knowledge transfer, application is practiced in case studies with the aim of asking questions about the strategy (what else should one know in order to make a longstanding decision)

Intended Learning Outcomes and Competencies

Critical thinking. Emphasis in developing strategic questions for further reasoning instead of looking for quick answers Getting used to ask questions in order to enlarge strategic spaces.
