Course Content

This course is based on the lean startup methodology, actively engaging students in developing and testing their business ideas in real-world settings. Throughout the course, students will brainstorm multiple business concepts in groups, selecting one to pursue in depth. They will address essential aspects of venture creation, including financial planning, operations, and sales strategies, encompassing all critical elements required to launch a business from scratch. A significant emphasis is placed on out-of-classroom activities that require interactions with key stakeholders, such as potential customers and industry experts. Regular coaching sessions with experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and business angels further enrich the learning experience, fostering continuous refinement and adaptation of their business models. Students will also develop a comprehensive pitch deck that articulates their business idea and strategy. The course culminates in a "Demo Day," where students present their startup ideas to potential investors, including business angels and venture capitalists. This event offers a genuine opportunity for feedback and may spark investors’ interest in funding their company. This practical approach enables students to understand and experience the dynamics of venture creation. The course promotes deep engagement with various functional areas to evaluate business viability. Through multiple iterations and market adaptations, students learn how to effectively build a business from scratch.
