Course Content
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to scientific research in economics and business and the essential elements of academic writing. It covers all stages of the research process, including, but not limited to, motivating a compelling research question, writing a literature review, formulating hypotheses, reporting your results, and drawing conclusions. With a focus on practical tools and techniques, you will learn to quickly recognize research methodologies in academic articles and how to conduct effective literature searches. Along the way, you will learn about common student traps and how to avoid them. The course will also address aspects of thesis writing, including properly citing references using APA style and the use of Generative AI.
