Course Content

This course introduces students to the field of Entrepreneurship through Acquisition, and more specifically, to Traditional Search Funds.

Intended Learning Outcomes and Competencies

After completing this course, participants will have gained:

  •  A comprehensive knowledge on Entrepreneurship through Acquisition.
  •  A comprehensive knowledge on Search Funds.
  •  Expertise in developing a Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) (which is needed to collect Search Fund investors).
  •  Expertise in setting up Search Funds.
  •  Expertise in searching for suitable companies to acquire.
  •  Insights in the process of the takeover of the target company.
  •  Insights in managing the acquired company and dealing with the current staff and employees.
  •  Insights in the legal framework and concerns in setting up and running Search Funds as well as acquiring the target companies.
